juliet miller
Juliet graduated in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Juliet Miller's works, resonant of religious iconography and images of carnality and disruption, were inspired by questions of loss of meaning and the aestheticization of violence. Seeking to confront our fears and the potential for catharsis, it re-examines ideas of transcendence, underlining the paradox of affirmation by negation. Her work is particularly concerned with the viewer-object relationship as a reflection of the human condition, positing apparently infinite yet ultimately limited possibilities of subjectivity.
