About Chris Gilbert

Chris Gilbert studied Graphic design in the sixties before
pursuing a career in publishing both designing and illustrating educational books.
On retirement he studied printmaking at Morley College
London and has set up a printmaking studio in West Sussex.
He has had solo exhibitions and sold prints at art fairs and galleries. His work has been seen in The Mall Gallery London, The Biscuit Factory Gallery Newcastle, and Bankside Gallery.
In 2015 he was awarded The National Open Art ‘Best Print Prize’, presented at the Royal College of Art. In 2019 his work was shown at the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers ‘Masters’
Exhibition and in 2020 at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
