Anniversary Flowers

A simple yet stunning display of brightly coloured flowers on a pale blue backdrop with differing shades of green leaves intertwined behind the petals. This painting was inspired by a 10th wedding anniversary gift given to us in 2005 - a lovely decorative tin. I chose to use a particular sample of the design and transferred it onto a high quality ready primed stretched box canvas. Using professional quality artist’s acrylic paints in rich shades of cerise, pink and purple with subtle highlights along the individual petals, each flower has been enhanced by the use of an outline in metallic silver. This was done to try and replicate the 3D effect created on the original tin design. The leaves have also been outlined with silver paint. It has been varnished with a matt varnish in order to preserve it and to protect from dust, grease etc. The painting continues around the edge of the canvas. It will not therefore need framing and can be quite simply hung flush to your wall. This would make an ideal wedding, Christmas or birthday present to someone, or even give a great welcome to someone in a new home!!!
