Fruity Stones

The inspiration behind this painting was a photograph I took of some random pebbles in our garden. I have made the colours much brighter and changed the look of the image dramatically. Each pebble has been outlined with a black metallic paint to highlight it. I wanted a triptych effect but only had one canvas in stock of that size, so improvised by painting two white lines down the painting. Hence the effect of a triptych!! The stones remind me of some exotic pieces of fruit, falling in space. The colours are actually slightly brighter than shown on this photograph.
