I Follow The Blind Dog

Like most blokes in their 30s I went through a Patrick Kavanagh phase about ten years ago. Unlike most phases, this one has lasted ten years. The poem ‘I Follow the Blind Dog’ seemed to sum up the yearning for spiritual understanding in men of fading youth - although it might just as easily be about the futility of supporting a football team.
