I designed these as ‘His and hers’ love pendants to mark the engagement of my brother and his girlfriend. The two interlocking hearts pendant is my own design and speaks for itself. The gent’s one is a classic Celtic love knot. Both are surrounded by a circle, which is the universal symbol for unity.
These pendants make the perfect gift to mark a special occasion.
Once you are familiar with the techniques you can personalize the design by adding any number of wire motifs or symbols to the centre, or by adding beads in the open spaces to inject some color. You can really highlight the detail by oxidizing them.
The pendants are 1 1/8” tall and 3/4” across.
The materials listed are for both pendants.
Materials:
• 13” 18 gauge soft or half hard round wire
• 13 ½” 20 gauge soft round wire
• 55” 28 gauge soft or half hard round wire
Tools:
• Chain nose pliers
• Round nose pliers
• Wire cutters
• Flat nose pliers
• Nylon jaw pliers
• Ring mandrel
• Tape measure/ruler
• Marker pen
