Vintage models 4

The last painting in a series of the theme 1930/1940’s photo shoots. I enjoy the fashions of this period, so why not paint them! I had to research costumes and sunhats of this era. Also it is always a pleasure to have a more buxum lady to paint alongside the slim ones. Sometimes my larger models can bring another dimension to my story line. In this instance, the lady in red ( I will call her the madam) is there to organize the ‘girls’ and keep all in check. This is just a leisure moment in their day where perhaps they can mix with the male element, photographers etc. But the madam is looking at the distant village, wondering what is on the menu tonight at the local bar.
