Arriving in my Morgan

This was one of a series I painted of classic cars. The inspiration came from beautiful calendar I had given to me. A friend told me that Mick Jagger once owned (perhaps still does) a yellow Morgan, what a good story for a painting. I live near Quex Park Estate, so it is easy to go and sketch there, it is one of those estates that have a lovely atmosphere. I have not had too much experience of paintings cars, but I found it fascinating getting the colours correct and the ‘feel’ of the body on the road.
