Inspired by the Jazz of Louis Armstrong. Working with the retraction of the paint, over layering and reworking. Working to capture the feel of the piece. It is left ‘raw’ unrefined. Painted in the spirit of Abstract Expressionism with the freedom of the paint and the strength of the mark.
