Stream near Blanche's Farm

I enjoy en plain air painting, particularly as it makes me more inclined to finish the work in a single ‘sitting’ than if I stay in the studio.  I like this little painting as it looks a bit as though the late great artist Joan Eardley might have influenced my approach. (For my money, her best paintings are wonderful landscapes and seascapes from the fishing village of Catterliine to which she sometimes sped from Glasgow by motor scooter to do storm scenes on large weighted canvases!)
