Across the River, Esperaza
Esperaza (near Rennes-le-Chateau) is described on a website I’ve come across as ‘lying on a tight meander of the River Aude’. This painting was inspired by the resonant shapes and colours of houses across a narrow section of the river, maybe 50 yards from a substantial footbridge.
