Horn Head in Winter

Horn Head is as glorious as ever when under snow.  The birds top left are members of the crow family, either rooks or choughs or a combination of these and/or other dark-plumaged corvids. Several years ago I thought I had taken a photo of 22 choughs which had just landed on moorland on the west of the peninsula - however when I looked more closely I realised there was a rook dead centre of the flock, looking thoughtful as these clever birds often do. (When choughs are on the ground they always seem to be preoccupied with their food - that said, they are wonderfully aerobatic and seem pretty smart in the air!)
