Ben Bulbin Through the Barley

This en plein air piece was painted in a barley field looking east across the north coast of Sligo Bay towards the mountain-plateau Ben Bulbin in ‘Yeats Country’, so named because of its association with the poet William Butler Yeats and his painter brother Jack Butler Yeats. It sports a little organic matter in the form of what I believe to be barley grains which I appended - initially by accident then by design - to the bottom right of the canvas.
