Daffodils on Blue Tablecloth
I think daffodils are a particularly challenging motif for a painting. They fascinate me, combining as they do beauty and delicacy with a surprising robustness and flexibility in the face of very strong wind or rain. Their flowers also happen to be some shade of yellow, one of my favourite colours.
