Festival Art Contemporain, Bargemon

The New York Festival of Contemporary Art at Bargemon brings together 23 artists, many of which are working in major arts centres.
This year there are 14 New York based painters, photographers and printmakers coming to Bargemon to work for a few weeks and exhibit at the festival.
There will also be artists from Cuba, Iraq, Holland and Denmark exhibiting alongside many of the strongest French painters and printmakers working in the region today.
Our objective is to have this be the first step in the development of a year round program of residencies that would draw artists from major arts centres to work alongside artists from the area and to open a major gallery that would exhibit their work.
In the coming years the festival would primarily be a celebration of this interaction with works from all of the artists that have participated in the program and some additional guest artists that have been working on significant and relevant ideas in the art world today.

Of all forms of art, Marian prefers to express herself through collage. Her analog compositions combine acrylic paint and oil paint, original illustrations dating from 1900 till today and three dimensional recycled components. The works, influenced by pop art, dadaism and surrealism, show originality and freshness.
