The lighthouse depicted here, Scurdie Ness, (also called Scurdy Ness and in the past, Montroseness lighthouse) is situated on a headland on the South side of the River South Esk estuary, Montrose, Angus, Scotland. It is seen here against a blue sky and the sea crashing against the rocks sending up a mass of frothy spume.
