End caps are a very useful to add to your arsenal of handmade jewellery findings. In this tutorial, you learn to make an end cap with a 9mm internal circumference but you can adapt the technique to any size you want, as long as you have a mandrel of the correct size (don’t forget that you can use any cylindrical object e.g. pencil, drill bit or kebab skewer!).

Head pin and bead dangle

This project shows you how to make your own headpins and how to finish them to create a bead dangle.

In this project I have used 20 gauge wire, but if you have beads with very small holes you could use 24 gauge wire instead, as long as the beads are not too heavy.

You can use any size bead you want. To calculate the length of wire required, measure the length of your bead then add ¼” for the head pin end and ½” for the loop.
