Labrarorite and copper wire woven, layered necklace with Viking knit chain - Celestial

Celestial bodies or heavenly bodies are objects in space such as the sun, moon, planets and stars. They form a part of the vast universe we live in and are usually very far from us. The glorious night sky is dotted with such objects and when we observe them using a telescope they reveal fascinating worlds of their own.

The main circular part of the pendant is made with copper wire of varying gauges, which I have secured together with contrasting weaves in an asymmetrical design. The decorated terminals are made with smooth Labradorite stones, which boast blue, green and yellow in their vibrant Schiller. These drops have been framed with copper wire and swirls of woven wire. I have also added copper beads of graduating sizes to contrast the delicately woven wire.

The pendant hangs from a handmade, double knit, Viking knit chain, which I have finished with handmade wire end caps and clasp and 2 faceted Labradorite beads.

The pendant measures 1 2/3” across (from one side to the other) and 2 3/4” tall (from the top of the bail to the bottom of the third stone). The chain is 15 1/2” long.
