King's Crossing People
2018 will see a year-long study in to a collection of artworks focusing on ‘people in places’. This series of figure based artworks takes inspiration from many directions, one of which include the line: ‘Your shadow at morning striding behind you, or your shadow at evening rising to meet you’ from The Waste Land by T S Eliot. Plus a contemporary take on the urban landscapes peopled with human figures by Lowry. In the very same way Lowry documented a moment in time, I aim to capture what could be the last chance of seeing people in places, before everyone disappears behind a screen.
