Underground Light

This painting was originally my response to the Chilean miners who were trapped underground for three weeks in 2010 when the San José mine collapsed. In summer 2022 I worked on it some more, this time as a response to the civilians and soldiers trapped underground in the steel works in Mariupol, Ukraine.
