Hexham Abbey
Although Hexham Abbey is a magnificent building, it is surrounded by trees on two fronts the market square on one front and shops and back gardens on the other front. So views of the Abbey are mere glimpses. I captured this view, late one Autumn afternoon - the day in-fact when Prince Charles had been visiting. Hence, the flag of StGeorge.

About the artist
My work is currently being produced through drawing onto an iPad. The images are created by breaking down the composition into sectors, each of which is then drawn onto the iPad. I then download the images and create the final picture by attaching the images together. The gaps left between the images create a grid effect which is sometimes determined by the composition of the landscape and sometimes determined by the distribution of detail in the image.
