Blue Still Life With Eight Of Diamonds
My wife Barbara found a somewhat misshapen playing card under a neighbour’s hedge (it having obviously been dropped, thrown or swept there). Accordingly when setting up the still life arrangement for this piece - and during the subsequent painting process - I studied the card’s interaction with the champagne glass alongside it.
