Englefield School

The brief for this C of E school commission was religious symbol, books, reference to founding date (150 years ago at the time).
I had a thoroughly good time researching for this work. Additional pleasure from producing the portraits of two of the school’s pupils - one in contemporary school uniform ; the other dressed as per the usual for 150 years ago. Notice also the two different styles of desk. The quill was a romanticism, since more basic writing devises were in fact used at the time.
I used new stone for this work.
