Under the Palm Trees 1
One May evening I had crossed the Millennium Bridge and was delighted by the line of palm trees growing along the Quayside. Although the chill of the evening was at odds with these wonderful symbols of the exotic, in the best Newcastle tradition, people dressed for the occasion and not the weather!

About the artist
My work is currently being produced through drawing onto an iPad. The images are created by breaking down the composition into sectors, each of which is then drawn onto the iPad. I then download the images and create the final picture by attaching the images together. The gaps left between the images create a grid effect which is sometimes determined by the composition of the landscape and sometimes determined by the distribution of detail in the image.
