Fern Wax Seal Stamp Pendant

A fern leaf pendant the impression in created by using a wax seal stamp into metal clay which if you haven’t come across it is fine particles of metal mixed with a binder which can then be textured or sculpted or folded and so on, it is then fired and the binder burns away leaving a solid metal piece in this case a piece of fine silver, which is 99.9% pure, the chain is an 18 inch (46cm) sterling silver (sterling is 92.5%) popcorn chain, yes it is called that, honestly! I have patinated the piece and then polished and burnished the raised fern part so it pops out from it’s background. The pendant is 2.8cm tall from the top of the jump ring, the pendant itself is 2.4cm tall and 2.5cm wide and has a good weight to it, in inches that is 1 and 1 eighth of an inch tall from the top of the jump ring, the pendant itself is just over 7 eighths of an inch tall and 1 inch wide, a great gift for men and women alike!
