Rectangular Leaf Textured Fine Silver Stud Earrings

A pair of fun and interesting rectangle stud earrings with a leaf texture taken from leaves from our garden, they are patinated with a light patination as it reminded me of those lovely colours leaves start to turn in the autumn. Made from fine silver metal clay (99.9% silver versus 92.5% silver with sterling) with a silver posts. If you haven’t come across metal clay before it is made from microscopic silver particles mixed with a binder and it can be sculpted, shaped, textured and all manner of things, it is then fired and the particles fuse or sinter together creating a solid silver piece. First created in gold by the Japanese in 1990 and since then all sorts of metals clays have appeared. The Japanese silver metal clays also have the added advantage of being recycled! The earrings have a stud fitting and butterfly backs they are 2cm long and 0.9cm wide, in inches that is 3/4 of an inch by 5/16 of an inch.
