Mismatching Flower Silver Teardrop Stud Earrings
Flower bud mismatching teardrop studs using flowers I picked from the garden which I then made moulds from! I have been gathering all sorts of plant material from the garden to make moulds, I thought these would make a nice pair of good sized interesting studs. if you want a matching pair just let me know! They are made from fine silver metal clay, which is tiny particles of fine silver (99.9% purity, sterling is 92.5%) which is mixed with a clay binder and then textured, shaped, sculpted etc., once dried it is then fired where the clay binder burns away and the metal particles fuse together leaving a solid silver piece, first created by the Japanese and now produced in all sorts of metals! The silver metal clay is made from recycled silver! The earrings are 1.9cm long and 1.3cm wide, in inches that is 3/4 of an inch by nearly 1/2 an inch.
I love metal clay but please note it does not come out like a smooth milled sheet of metal at the end of all the processes, I feel this is part of it’s charm and it is solid metal of whichever type it is made from.
