“Gripped” is a transfer collage on canvas.
The original composition is a raw ripped 2-element paper collage.
This collage was mirrored, enlarged and then printed.
The print is transferred to the canvas and finished with pastels and paint.
Images are from vintage magazines; the hands are from a publicity for wrists watches.
The portrait of a lonesome Marilyn is thoughtful and emotional.
The mixture of these two images has a powerful impact.
The transfer image reproduced on a large scale is a unique artwork on its own.
“Gripped” non exclusive copy rights were sold and feature on the Telepathy album and CD cover ‘Burn Embrace’.
