Magnolia Flower Bud Silver Earrings

Magnolia Flower Bud Fine Silver earrings with sterling hoop ear wires, these unusual boho earrings are handcrafted from moulds I made using magnolia flower buds, they have a lovely sculptural look about them, nice and solid but not too weighty. I have teamed them with wire wrapped sterling silver hoop ear wires. The length of the earrings from the top of the hoop is approximately 5.5cm (2 3/16 inches), the width is approximately 1cm (3/8 of an inch). The flower buds are made using fine silver metal clay, if you haven’t come across metal clay before it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece.
The backs of the magnolia buds are satin finished.
Please note that the earrings look slightly larger on the bust than they will on a person as it is not quite life size!
