Textured Bark/Wood Silver Earrings, no.3

Textured bark/wood fine silver earrings. These lovely and interesting earrings have are the same shape but have different textures because I used the texture from both sides of the piece of bark I found, so you have the top on one earring and the reverse texture on the other. I love the shape of this piece of bark that comes from a tree at the end of our garden, it is almost wing like!
The earrings are made from fine silver metal clay, metal clay was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece.
The sterling silver ear wires have nice long backs for extra safety.
The earrings are 5.1cm (2 inches) long from the top of the hook and the drop length from the bottom of the hook is 4.2cm ( 1 5/8 of an inch) and the width is approximately 1.7cm (5/8 of an inch).
