A pair of feather like or long marquise or long leaf shaped sterling silver satin finished earrings with pretty blue tanzanites and light blue/lilac chalcedony faceted beads wire wrapped with two wavy sterling silver discs in between, light and easy to wear and with an ear wire that has a decent long back. The length of the earrings is 6.6cm and they are 6mm at the widest point, the drop length from the bottom of the hook is 5.2cm, in inches that is Just over two and a half inches long, a little under a quarter of an inch at the widest point and the drop length from the bottom of the hook is just s fraction over two inches.
Tanzanite is a calcium aluminium hydroxyl silicate and belongs to the silicate family.
It’s also known as Blue Zoisite. Interestingly it was Tiffany and Co. that renamed it to Tanzanite as a part of a branding strategy.
First discovered in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in 1967.
