Edelweiss Floral Silver Earrings

Edelweiss floral silver earrings, pretty fine silver earrings created using a mould made from a vintage button, I have made an elegant long earring fitting in sterling silver for these funky affordable silver earrings. Fine silver has very very high silver content 99.9% and sterling is 92.5%, because it is so pure it is a lovely bright silver. if you have not come across metal clay before it starts life in clay form with microscopic particles of metal mixed with a binder, in this case fine silver, it can be sculpted and roll and textured and patterned etc. once it has dried it is fired and the binder burns away and the particles of metal bind together forming a silver piece.
The earrings are 4cm (1 1/2inches) long from the top of the hook and 1.7cm 5/8 of an inch) wide.
