Gold Vermeil Moss Textured Earrings

Gold vermeil moss textured gold vermeil earrings. I am always walking around looking at textures and there was a lot of moss around in the garden so I picked some of it up and used it to make a mould as I thought it would create a lovely texture and it does! I used fine silver metal clay for the body if the earrings and sterling silver wire for the ear fittings. Metal clay starts life as microscopic metal particles mixed with a binder that can be worked like any clay, it is then dried and fired where the binder burns away and you are left with a metal piece in this case, fine silver, fine silver is very pure 99.9% silver, sterling is 92.5% silver.
The earrings are 4.7cm (1 7/8 inch) long from the top of the hook and 1.2cm just under half an inch) wide at the widest point.
