Marian Williams, papier, ciseaux
Marian Williams, paper, scissors
Marian Williams is a serial gluer. In her wacky world, antique statues wear bras that are way too big for them, men in suits and ties have lost their heads, and women have many faces. Originally from the Netherlands, she draws her inspiration from old post-war magazines and old books. A few scissors strokes, glue… Marian Williams enhances her collages with paint, ink or pastel. Irresistibly kitsch!

About the artist
Of all forms of art, Marian prefers to express herself through collage. Her analog compositions combine acrylic paint and oil paint, original illustrations dating from 1900 till today and three dimensional recycled components. The works, influenced by pop art, dadaism and surrealism, show originality and freshness.
