Meeting Place at Hope Gyll.

Above the watershed lands of the North Pennines cool clouds brush past just out of reach. Beyond, the icy trails of trans-Atlantic Dreamliners.  Beyond the beyond, the blue of distance. Still further, the silent crescent of a remote and lifeless moon that looks down serenely on its lively blue partner. Meanwhile, here and now on the surface, a steep-sided valley newly planted with native trees to stop gulley erosion and slow the downstream flow of flood waters. It offers hope that wildlife will flourish again and carbon will be captured for centuries to come. Maybe this will happen all over the uplands.
