Archangel Michael slaying a dragon silver pendant
A terrific picture pendant of Archangel Michal slaying the dragon, taken from an antique picture button, the detail is lovely, hopefully this can be seen in the photos! The pendant is made in fine silver metal clay and hangs from a nice sized sterling silver Spiga chain with a carabiner clasp. There is a gold vermeil version of this pendant available, please see other listing. If you haven’t come across metal clay before it starts life out as tiny particles of metal mixed with a binder, in it’s clay form it can be sculpted, textured, folded etc. it is then fired where upon the binder burns away leaving a metal piece, in this case fine silver which is 99.9% silver, very pure, sterling is 92.5% silver. Metal clays now come in copper, bronze, gold as well as silver.
The pendant is 2.9cm to 3.2cm in diameter (1 1/8 inch) and has a 45cm chain or 18 inches. There is some variation in size with metal clay if you want as small as I can make please let me know.
I love metal clay and the textures that can be created on a piece but please note it is not like milled metal sheet which can be made very smooth and is often highly polished.
Please note you may not receive the pendant in the photos but it will be one very similar to it!
