Edward Lapidge built the church in 1829/30 and his family mausoleum is at the front of the graveyard. Sybil Penn, Edward VI’s nursery nurse is said to haunt the church and her memorial is in the church. I believe that she was never buried there but the lead coffin down in the vaults might have been hers? Read my book!
