Escape from the Island
As I walked over to St Mary’s Island, it was hard to tell if the tide was on its way in or out. However, after 15 minutes of wandering and staring into rock pools it was clear that our time on the island would soon be over as the tide was advancing rapidly! We made our escape and then looked back smugly to watch as people hurried behind us as the causeway gradually disappeared.

About the artist
My work is currently being produced through drawing onto an iPad. The images are created by breaking down the composition into sectors, each of which is then drawn onto the iPad. I then download the images and create the final picture by attaching the images together. The gaps left between the images create a grid effect which is sometimes determined by the composition of the landscape and sometimes determined by the distribution of detail in the image.
