Rolled Leaf Earrings

Gorgeous wrapped leaf earrings, that are textured using actual leaves, hanging from pretty rolo chain all hanging from simple elegant ear wires. The leaves are made from fine silver metal clay, fine silver is 99.9% silver whereas sterling is 92.5%, so fine silver is purer and works well for the leaves, it also has the added benefit of not tarnishing so quickly! In Chinese tradition leaves of the Cosmic Tree represent all of the beings in the universe. Leaves are symbolic of fertility and growth.
If you have not come across metal clay before it starts life out as fine silver particles mixed with a clay binder which can then be sculpted and textured and folded and all sorts besides! It is then fired and the binder burns away leaving a metal piece, in this case silver.
Please note the bust is not life quite sized, the earrings will look a little smaller on an actual human head!
