Silver Snowdrop Earrings

Snowdrops represent hope which I think is rather lovely! These are fine and sterling silver snowdrop earrings made created using real snowdrop flowers from our garden! The fine silver snowdrop flower heads are made from fine silver metal clay and the stems are sterling silver, as are the ear wires. Fine silver is purer than sterling it has a 99.5% silver content, sterling is 92.5% silver.
If you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or the technical term is sinter into a metal piece.
The length of these earrings is 5cm (just under 2 1/8 inch) from the top of the ear wire and the drop length is 3.5cm (1 5/8 inch) and the width is 2.3cm (just over 3/4 inch).
