Stud Rolled Leaf Diagonal

Gorgeous rolled silver leaves make these stud earrings a little bit different! The textures are created using real leaf textures in fine silver metal clay. There is a choice of two styles one is wrapped centrally and the other on the diagonal, please see other listing for the centrally rolled pair. If you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold and then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away and the particles fuse together or sinter into a metal piece, in this case fine silver, which is 99.9% silver, so very pure, the posts are made from sterling silver which is 92.5% silver, less pure but it is slightly tougher so it is good to use sterling for the posts or other earring findings like ear wires.
The earrings are approximately 1.8cm long (3/4 inch)and 0.7cm wide (1/4 inch).
Please note the bust is not quite life sized so the earrings will look a little smaller on a real human head!
