Division

SOLD
Under the theme of mathematical symbols, Toni Kingstone continues to explore social and political issues. A powerful and evocative composition, ‘Division’ is a response to the conflict between left and right wing ideology, focussing primarily on the current state of unrest in America but applicable to any divided nation.

Employing party colours to represent opposition, this acrylic, resin and collage piece uses specific text to highlight the conflicting ethics of each group, bringing them together in a shared central space with the red and blue blended to purple, signifying unity and hope for the future made possible with inspired leadership.

Hewn out of highlighted text is the simple statement “ONE PEOPLE; ONE LAND; UNITED”
