Monkadillo Greeting Card ~ Blank Inside

A fantasy animal card for a gothic or mythological beast lover, this rectangular MONKADILLO card is blank inside and features an imaginary animal mosaic design on the front.

Send an special card to friends and family, for a birthday, good luck or “just because” you are thinking of them. As this card is blank inside, there is plenty of space for even a short letter! In pastel tones, this card features a printed image of my original mosaics on the front.

* DESIGN DETAILS: a reproduction from an original handmade mosaic inspired by an image in the Luttrell Psalter, this imaginary being is made from wastage from my sister-in-laws ceramics. According to the BBC, academics believe that at the time when the Luttrel Psalter was written & illustrated, beer was the common drink of the day. This beer was often made from rye which was infested with the ergot fungus, which had mind altering properties… hence the strange animal illustrations.

•~ Comes with a gummed white envelope
•~ Clear cellophane sleeve for protection - I am in the process of switching over to biodegradable sleeves
