At the moment I am busy making stock for my stall at the Cut, Halesworth. This is a fantastic local art centre converted from an old maltings building where bizarrely I can remember riding my bike as a very young child. It always fascinates me the way life events link over time.
I am restocking my range of Christmas cards including the new image for this year. (They can be ordered from here too!) I am also making new editions of the handmade books ...a both frustrating and rewarding time! I struggle cutting things in straight lines, no matter how many gadgets I use and it drives me round the bend! There are also giclee prints to embellish so it’s all go in the studio!
As many will know I have always enjoyed adding text to my work, initially as the title around the edge of a print but recently as small pieces of prose/poetry to add to the books. Today I shall be attending my first meeting of The Waveney Poetry group…who knows where this will lead?
Autumn, however, is a favourite time of year, there is something very special about this season. A winding down but beauty in decay in a most wonderful light. Dog walks are a delight…especially if there is a casserole and dumplings to come home to! Many dawdling posts to follow….
