MOLD ARMOR

This product was found to have taken the name, “Mold Armor”. It was found on clearance aisle for $1.80 per gallon at the local Home Depot.

I am guessing this company can not complete with Big Brother or maybe something better has happened.

By big brother I am referring to :

Chlorox Bleach.

This product indeed has the same active ingredient as

CHOLROX ....

sodium hypochlorite

What is so special about this particular product you may ask?

Well upon further research and investigation regarding this bargain product we found that theactive ingredient has been found to be linked to and responsible for killing fish. Fish Genocide. 

The product was found to be sold as a concentrated cleaner to use with pressure washers to clean sidewalks and driveways.

I’m happy to see it being put out of use and into clearance. This means that we are making progress in the right direction.  It means that we are making progress in decreasing groundwater contaminates. It also means policy makers are listening when we try to keep certain chemicals out of the stormdrains of our local communities. Even though we all love a clean home, it doesn’t give us the right to pour this neurotoxic to fish chemical straight into their homes. Most drain water continues from creek to stream and stream to river, but this is currently very confusing for me in Colorado Springs because literally every creek or stream bed had been dry and without any water.

So next time you want to presure wash your driveway or have it done professionally please consider not using a chemical anymore detrimental to the environment than DAWN dishsoap. We might not all love fish, but I think we can all at least appreciate the wildlife around us and where they swim. Please show respect and kindness with your water you pour into the streets or creekbeds.  or the fish families and take this time to reflect on all the fish that gave their lives for the use harsh chemicals like this bleach like products.
