Paddling original Linocut
A group of three girls are paddling on a beach at the edge of a rough sea. It was inspired by my recent visit to the coast of Wales, where I made drawings and took photos to help me in my work.
This original Linocut print uses one piece of lino which is progressively cut and printed, called a Reduction Linocut. The print uses selective wiping and other techniques to produce the particular result required. Thus the edition cannot ever be exactly reproduced. This is an edition of 9 Linocuts.
Each one is printed onto high quality Somerset Satin paper using linseed oil based inks.
Drusilla prints these linocuts in her studio in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, UK
Please note these are not digital prints and are made by hand individually. Any occasional inapt specks of ink are as a result of the process.
The artist retains all reproduction rights and copyright.
The print comes unmounted and unframed .
