Hiding behind Seljalandsfoss

The recent volcano eruptions in Iceland reminded me of the wonderful experience I had visiting this fascinating land in 2018.  So I looked at all the pictures I took then and was reminded of the Seljalandsfoss waterfall.  There is something magical about standing behind a sheet of powerful water. It felt a bit like a one-way natural window, a barrier from the outside; you can see out but cannot be easily seen or heard from there. Safe,  sheltered and protected.
