Iceland
Inspired by an amazing trip to the Hverarönd geothermal area in the northern region of Iceland. I created this piece to remind myself of the amazing awe I felt for the power of nature and how small we humans really are in comparison. Hot air, treacherous ground and a strong smell of sulphur. I also loved the idea of painting billows of hot air rising towards a dramatic sky - clouds meeting clouds.
