HoMage

I am exploring themes of identity, family, and risk.  There is again a vulnerable element to this work. The mother the child and the onlooker. Both adults whilst together are not so, as they simultaneously look out and away from the child to somewhere distant – a nostalgic reflection of the past and life’s challenge of what has become. The child – a baby so fragile is central to the piece but can barely be seen. The adult’s expressions show disdain and are half cut of fin the composition demonstrating a tension in the group and the future.
