Enkidu
In the ancient ‘Epic of Gilgamesh’ Enkidu is a wild, hairy beast man who does battle with Gilgamesh before befriending him and accompanying him on his adventure. Enkidu ater dies, prompting Gilgamesh to ponder his own mortality and seek the secret to eternal life.
